EP 8. A Proper Understanding of Philippians 4:4-9 Paul’s View on Anxiety – Nathan Nadeau -PART 1

It comes as no surprise that many people suffer from stress. In a recent Canadian survey, about one-quarter of Canadians said that they feel somewhat stressed or extremely stressed on a daily basis. These statistics are probably similar in the church as well. Often, many pastors will use Philippians 4:4-9 to give a Christian perspective on how to deal with stressful situations. But what does Paul mean by “do not be anxious about anything?” Is it possible for Christians to develop an attitude where they will never be plagued by anxiety? Or is this just wishful thing?

In this two-part series, Pastor Nathan Nadeau gives the historical context of Paul’s letter to the church at Philippi, allowing us to understand Philippians 4 better once viewed within the context of the whole letter.
